Adobe Photoshop is a recognized brand name for the suite of digital imaging software available from Adobe Systems, Inc. The Photoshop name is used by the company not only for the graphics software itself, but also for other products it markets that use the same logo design, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Go Live, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Story, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Adobe Photoshop, the software, was introduced in 1990 by Thomas G. Lendvay and Craig Reynolds, and it was initially designed for Macintosh systems. A Windows version followed in 1994.
The name “Photoshop” comes from the optical device invented by Charles and Sawyer Dall, which was initially known as the PhotoShop and later as the Digital Photo Professional (later to become the Photoshop software), and was launched in 1985. The term “Photoshop” originates from the first name of Charles and Sawyer Dall, “Charlie”.
Whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate user, or a professional, this guide will help you master Photoshop to create, edit, and enhance your images.
Basic Photoshop Tutorials
When you first start out using Photoshop, you’ll probably want to learn the basics. One of the simplest ways to navigate around Photoshop is to learn how to use a system called the Layers Panel. Layers are the building blocks of a graphic, so learning how to work with Layers is vital for anyone who wants to create graphics for web pages, print layouts, or e-mail messages.
Another way to learn the basic functions of Photoshop is to use a tutorial. Tutorials will walk you through the process of creating a graphic, step by step. Once you’ve learned the basics, you can move on to more advanced tutorials that will teach you Photoshop’s more advanced features.
What’s the point of learning all of Photoshop’s features, though? There are going to be times when you want to know the basics. For those times, you can use a tutorial to learn all of the basics.
Once you know how to work with Layers and are comfortable with the basics of working with Photoshop, you’re ready to move on to the next level.

Image editing in Photoshop Elements
Managing the folder structure
Photoshop Elements places a folder called ‘Photoshop Elements Photo’ in your Pictures library.
This is the default location for new images you create or import.
If you want to move an image into another folder, you need to drag it there first.
When you save a new image to the desired location, you can also give it a meaningful name by dragging a rectangle on top of the photo.
To edit your images in the new version of Photoshop Elements, or move them into folders, go to File → Open or press Shift + O. You’ll be asked to choose where you want to store your image files.
You can click to choose a location, or use the left and right arrow keys to go directly to a folder or subfolder. To bring the folder browser to the front, press Shift + Tab.
You can use the arrow keys to quickly navigate through the folders on your hard disk.
When you bring up the folder browser, you can find your Images library by clicking on the folder icon in the top right hand corner.
You can manage your photos by creating subfolders.
To create a new folder, use Shift + Control + N or click on the plus button in the top left corner of the folder browser.
A folder is a container for a set of photos, so you can move the photos and folders in your Photos library into subfolders.
(Note: the pictures in a folder cannot be moved between folders)
You can organize your photos based on the content you’re editing, like fashion, food, locations and so on. For example, you might want to store food photos in a separate folder, fashion photos in another.
To add a folder, drag

To open a brush, select it from the Brush palette and then click the Brush tool to open the brush tool options. Choose new from the Brush category and then click the button next to the brush type.
There are two settings for each brush: brush size and brush hardness. The brush size allows you to change the diameter of the brush in pixels. The brush hardness determines how visible the brush is as you paint.
If you don’t like the look of the brush size, you can change the brush size later. To change the brush size or hardness, open the Brush tool options again and then click the Set to Default button.
It’s best to use the same brush for all the paint effects you’re going to do, so it’s best to set the brush size to a size that’s compatible with your image. If you’re painting in the spot that’s already covered by a textured brush or if you’re going to paint outside a colored area, the brush size and hardness can be completely different.
Using the Eraser Tool
The Eraser tool is similar to the Clone Stamp. It allows you to erase pixels from an image.
To open the Eraser tool, select it from the Tools palette. You can use the Eraser tool like the Clone Stamp by dragging a selection box around a section of the image you want to erase.
When you drag the box, the border changes color from white to red. This indicates that a selection box has been drawn around the area.
When you release the mouse button, the box is copied and a rectangle appears. When you move the cursor over this rectangle, the cursor changes from a solid white circle to a solid red circle. This indicates that the rectangle is selected and you can start erasing.
You can also use the Eraser tool to fix or change your selections. While you’re erasing, you can make changes by pressing the Ctrl key on your keyboard while you drag. Doing so brings up a user interface where you can choose from many adjustment tools to fix an image.
To change the size of the selection box, you can use the Eraser tool options. To erase a selection, press the Alt key and click the Erase button. After you’ve erased a selection, the area is filled with an image adjustment tool that’s activated by pressing the Alt key. You can then

Two commercially available human hemoglobin (Hb) ELISA kits were evaluated for quantification of human recombinant glycosylated Hb (rHbG) in vitro and in vivo. The ELISA kit used in vivo produced rHbG, in addition to human Hb alpha-chain. The presence of the recombinant alpha-chain appears to be due to a low-level contamination of the lysate with human alpha-chain. In vitro, both kits detected all rHbG species. Each produced a good linear response up to at least 400 mg/l and detected as little as 20 mg/l. Experiments with the in vivo kit also produced a good linear response up to at least 400 mg/l and detected as little as 20 mg/l. The human erythrocytes used for the kits were found to be unsuitable for the normal diagnostic range of H
